“WORK IT BEFORE YOU WRECK IT” 나 를 조여 오는 이 느낌이 WORDS: ENOUGH | OPEN | THIS POST SUCKS! Out of all the places in Japan, the Ginza district was one of the best. It was as lively as ever with the sound of music and filled with the scent of fresh paint and art. Chihiro as always appreciated good art, but the one thing that the young woman always looked forward to seeing was the mad dance skills of the performers of the area. What they did out here wasn't something that she could learn in some stuff old classroom; this was purely from the heart. It wasn't like she didn't love her classes because truly she did, but you can't learn the streets in a class; you learn the streets in the streets. Her mother used to hate when she came out to this district, calling it a bad influence and that she didn't want her daughter drawn into the 'dangers' of this type of music and dance.
Dangers? Where? Everything around her was filled with life; something her household lacked. Being rich made people lazy, at least that's how Chi saw it. Before there was even any type of riches in her family, her mother was a dancer and a great one at that. Ai Ayame, that was her mother, but then after remarrying she seemed to lose interest and referred it as a simple hobby. The thought made her frown, seriously, a hobby? Someone who had the perfect spins and twirled around like an angel called dancing a hobby. Well, Chi remembered having arguments about this with her mother, but after awhile just gave up. It was pointless. She thought about when she told her mom about the profession and how unsupportive she was.
"Well, no use crying over spilled milk." She said happily to herself as stretched out her body, "I should look for a friendly competition or something." She said happily to herself as made her way toward a large group of people. Today, Chihiro was wearing black cargo pants with a sweater top that slide off her shoulders and a black tank top underneath, and of course, her hat that puffed her already puffy hair out. Today she had her hip hop/breakdance class so she was still feeling pumped up and was ready to bust out some moves. It was always strange that Chi could dance well, but it came to just doing the simple walking, well she tend to land on her face.
Trying not to think about it, the music started to flow through her slowly like oxygen. Her eyes closed as she listened to the sounds around her. What a beautiful sound it was, indeed. Chihiro made her way through the large crowd and watched the female doing helicopters and slides. "Oh oh oh! I like your moves." She said to the other girl who had finished her piece. Guess I'm gonna have to step it up. Chi thought to herself eagerly.
Stepping into the middle of the group, her body swayed to the sound of the music in rapid movement. She didn't hesitant not even one minute. Her body flipped in the air, slide across the floor. Chihiro knew how to work her footwork, so much that she wrecked it. She could hear the crowd cheering, but it was distant. Right now, Chihiro was lost in the art of the dance. Sliding on the floor, the red head got up on her feet and shook hands with the other female and laughed.
"Damn girl, you worked it." The other said her happily with a laugh.
"Well you either work it or wreck it." That was one of the many mottos in her dance class, "but you, definitely worked it!" She wasn't going to lie. Compared to the other she didn't think she wasn't that great. The night progressed with more dancing and more competitions. She had all night long, anything could happen. She kind of wished something would soon because she was starting to get tired.
