Considering a part-time job, but hasn’t decided on one as of yet. GETTING DEEPER, POSITIVE TRAITS, |
>Trustworthy> If you tell her your secrets and such, rest assured no one else will learn of them. Though that could be just because Airi has only a few others to tell them to… In any case, she’s a good listener, though that doesn’t make her the best person to go to for advice on any topic. If you have a problem that doesn’t require her to have much actual experience, she’ll do all she can for you. This applies only if you’re her friend, of course. If not, forget about it. No matter what she tells you.
>Hard-working> But not when it comes to studying. She’s lazy when she has schoolwork to do. But anyhow, for most other situations, she can go all out. She likes helping people she knows. And doing stuff keeps her mind off things she’d rather not think about. It can be said that she actually enjoys being busy too…
>Protective> She won’t stand in your way if you’re her friend and you want to be close to someone else. But if Airi feels you’re just being forced away from her, she can get a bit mean; to the ‘stealer’ or even to you. She’s not the violent type though, so she’d rather use words to ‘fight back.’ Nonetheless, if things get out of hand because her preferred methods aren’t working, she’ll do whatever it takes. But for the most part her protectiveness is only enough to be a good thing. Once she’s sure the person she’s trying to defend is okay, she’ll act ‘normally’ again. She won’t overstep any known boundaries. On a side note, she won’t stand any bad rumors and such about her brother at all, even a reprimand from her mother to the older boy would cause her to be rude and talk back. (Leading to her being grounded, usually. Perhaps the frequency of punishments like being forced to stay in her room all day was what made her… partial to being rather isolated.)
>Organized> When it comes to material things. Airi’s the kind of person who dislikes messy places so expect her room to be very tidy. She spends a lot of time rearranging her things when she’s not writing stories or drawing. She’ll also be the first to volunteer when it’s time to clean the house. Of course, that could just be her way of appeasing her parents since she rarely gets her homework done.[/ul]
NEGATIVE TRAITS,
>Naïve> Brought up in a-little-less-than-normal environment, sometimes Airi has difficulty reacting to situations the way a ‘normal’ person would. It’s not that strange though; she just doesn’t know as much about the world as one would think a girl her age would know. She doesn’t pay much attention to her surroundings when she’s outside, and she’s not out as often as other girls. She likes her solitude, leaving her at a loss when she encounters certain situations involving being sociable.
>Prideful> Even she herself says the amount she has of it is uncalled for; not that it stops her. For the most part, she’s only proud of her drawings and stories, even if the only thing she says about them, to herself, is what she hates. If someone points out any of her mistakes, she’ll most likely ignore them or force out a ‘thank you’, muttering things like, ‘What would s/he know?’ once they’re gone. She likes to hide her drawings when she’s still working on them to avoid that. Once she’s finished on the piece, she’ll show it to her few friends, soaking in any good comments and adding her own, ignoring anything that implies she did something wrong. Other people’s work, usually drawings she thinks are better than her own, make her resentful. She might even let loose a few insensitive comments if the artist is nearby, then scoff and turn away.
>Compulsive Liar> Lies just roll out of her mouth before she realizes it, especially when talking to her mother. She hates it, she tries to stop, but it’s become too much of a habit for her to easily get rid of. Thankfully, with her parents, it’s only about ‘little’ things, like what time she goes to sleep, or when she’s studying. Sometimes she tells her friends she has important things to do when she really doesn’t, and all she wants is to be alone at home, surfing the ‘net or acting on her artistic impulses, even though she would’ve come with them to wherever anyway. Other times she doesn’t actually pay attention to her answers, and says whatever she thinks the person she’s talking to wants to hear. Be it her age, her name, her relationship status… One could say that her whole identity can change with whoever she’s talking to. Though she thinks it doesn’t matter when the other person is a stranger; it makes her feel a bit safer to lie about herself to someone she doesn’t know.
>Judgmental> More than she’d like to be. Never mind the saying, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover,’ the first impression she gets from a person is probably the only thing she’ll ever see. If someone made a bad impression on Airi, it would be hard to change her perception of them. She’ll see herself as better than the other and look down on them, never trying to change that view. If they finally get her to see them in a better light… Well, I hope they think it was worth the trouble. Though if someone makes a good impression on her, things would be much different.[/ul]
